He has been hailed as one of the most versatile professional motorcycle riders in the country. A ten time South African champ and Red Bull extreme athlete, Brian Capper does not do joy rides. He pioneers extreme sports, sets records and then shatters them again and again.

The phenomenal Mr Supermoto, as he is known, is a pioneer of the sport and is one of the most diversely talented two-wheel experts in the world, since retiring from a sport that he has dominated for most of its existence, he has since kept busy in the disciplines of Supermoto and Trials, Brian competes in selected Enduro and EnduroX races both locally and internationally, and spends his “down-time” traveling the world entertaining crowds with his gravity defying extreme riding exhibitions.

He is used to taking on death defying feats, like the time he rode across the epic Moses Mabhida stadium arch. The 350-metre long and 106-metre high arch is the largest of its kind in the world, with 550 stairs from base to the top, it set a momental challenge for the trial bike master.

That was done on the same 2012 Beta Evo 300 Trial Bike that he uses to perform footup trials, jump gaps, do tricks and thrill the crowds at the Interpack village at this year’s Windhoek show. His Red Bull arena was a tight area, but at Capper’s skill level this was no issue. Practically grazing the volunteer’s head and stopping mere centimetres from crushing another volunteer’s hopes for future procreation, the precision with which he controls the bike is astonishing.

Although regarded as one of South Africa’s most talented and versatile riders, Brian’s first love will always be trick riding.

“Whatever you can imagine, it is possible. That is the reason why I love free riding,” he said.
