FAIRFIELD – Children with physical disabilities are finding they can reach new heights thanks to a volunteer run non-profit organization.

Peak Potential, established in 2000, runs twice weekly sessions at the New Jersey Rock Gym in Fairfield.

The volunteers help children with rock climbing, a sport that most of the children normally would not have a chance to participate in.

The organization’s goal is to raise awareness and make the program available for more special needs kids, which is free and open to kids 4 and older.

According to  sources, Peak Potential members are in talks with a gym in Marlborough in hope of offering the program in Monmouth County.
