On the 15th of June a dream that had evolved and taken shape over the space of about two years began to unfold into reality. The alarm went off at 6am and I woke up with a feeling of urgency and excitement mixed with a generous dose of fear and trepidation.
We were finally setting off on our adventure into Namibia in our 1986 Suzuki SJ. Packing all that we thought was important proved to be a task for a Tetris master. Luckily for me I married one in the form of Polly Murphy. She was able to pack 3 bags, a box of food, tent, two camping chairs, buckets, boxes, oranges and countless other odds and ends into the space the size of a small cupboard.
