New Zealand cyclists have finished with three gold medals at a Grand Prix track meet in Valencia, Spain.
London Olympics bronze medallist Simon van Velthooven won the men’s keirin while teenager Dylan Kennett underlined his talent with victory in the omnium on Sunday.
They added to Eddie Dawkins‘ win in the men’s sprint on the first day of the two-day meet.
Kennett, 18, a medallist at last year’s junior track world championship, was in second place after the first day of the omnium.
He drew level with Spaniard Sebastian Mora after the scratch race and claimed overall honours in the six-discipline event after winning the 1000m time trial.
Van Velthooven was too strong for a world class field in the keirin final, which included Dawkins.
