Hundreds of ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes from across the United States and Canada competed in the 15th annual Springer Tournee Aug. 1-4 at the Utah Olympic Park in Park City.
This is the largest ski jumping event in the US each year, concluding with the US National Ski Jumping Championships in which future and past Olympians compete.
Eleven-year-old Hana Schrock from the Itasca Ski Club in Coleraine, earned two silver medals. Hana was the top female finisher from the United States both on the 40 meter jump and in nordic combined, taking second place in each event.
Somer Schrock, 17, finished in 11th place in the Junior Men’s 100 Meter Olympic Ski Jump Tournament. They are both coached by Jon Denney.
