Kitesurfer rescued by Marine Police

A man called for Barrie police marine help Sunday afternoon after his girlfriend had trouble in the water.

He told police they were both kite surfing and when the winds picked up, she had difficulty getting back to shore.

She was cold and tired when police rescued her, but uninjured.

Police remind anyone going out on the water to ensure they have a personal floatation device and check weather conditions before heading out.
