Two men have been shot while taking part in free-running on Sunday in Horsham.

The pair was involved in Parkour when both were shot yesterday in the town at about 5.15pm.

A man, 47, of Horsham, has been arrested.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “The man was arrested after a group of young men free running in Horsham reported being hit by air gun pellets.

“Police were called to the scene in Market Square at 5.15pm on Sunday and quickly identified a 47-year-old man from Horsham who was arrested on suspicion of GBH. An air rifle was removed from a nearby address.

“Two of the men, aged 19 and 21, were taken to the East Surrey Hospital for treatment to wounds caused by the pellets.

“The man remained in custody on Monday morning.”

Free running is not a sport. Only last week at close to midnight we were terrified when we heard what we believed to be a burglar. I ask , what would you think if someone was on your roof next to an open window in the middle of the night? These people are endangering themselves and terrifying people.
