Police have revealed that a woman who died when she became crushed by wooden barriers at a paintball centre was found pinned against the inside of the van.

Officers are continuing an investigation into the incident at the Delta Force Paintball centre in Sparkwell near Plymouth on Friday.

The 45-year-old woman, who has not been named, was pronounced dead at the centre soon after the incident in which she was pinned inside the van by a number of the barriers.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared by HM Coroner. Next-of-kin have been informed.”

South Hams District Council‘s environmental officers have been informed and will investigate the death, the spokesman added.
