On June 29, the Lake area will host a paddling only adventure race that is one leg of Bonk Hard Racing’s Performance Series that also includes orienteering and biking only races.
The Hardwater Half Hundred is a 50 kilometer mile paddling challenge on the Osage River that will begin at the Missouri Department of Conservation Access in Lake Ozark and end at the MDC Osage-Tavern Access near St. Elizabeth. Mid-point check-in of the race will be at the MDC Tuscumbia Access in Tuscumbia.
The 31-mile trip down the Osage River is a “bring your own boat” event. Paddlers will be able to compete in divisions that include solo and team kayaks and canoes.
Racers will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. If the weather is too treacherous to host the race, it will be held Sunday, June 30.
