The freestyle motocross Nuclear Cowboyz will make a return to Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario on Friday, April 5, through Sunday, April 7.
The high-energy motocross show is packed with a mixture of daring stunts, synchronized jumps and an entertaining storyline.
Created by Feld Entertainment, the company who owns and operates Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Cowboyz presents a unique twist to motocross shows.
“This tour is unlike any other freestyle motocross shows out there. There are so many elements involved. There’s the 12 top freestyle riders in the world, quad riders, acrobats, fireworks and explosions, and it all ties into a very interesting, theatrical story,” Cowboyz rider Derek Garland said.
The production follows a storyline about two motocross tribes. The tribes tell their story through choreographed airborne tricks, hard-hitting music and dancers.
Garland, a Temecula resident, has been riding motorcycles for 17 years. The award-winning stuntman has participated in several productions, including the Metal Mulisha touring team and the Dew Action Sports Tour.
“I have always loved riding motorcycles and primarily jumping motorcycles, so that’s been my passion since an early age and I stuck with it,” Garland said. “I just feel very fortunate to do what I love.”
On Saturday only, the production is offering a VIP Fallout Zone ticket, which includes center seating, a pre-show and a backstage meet-and-greet one hour before the show starts.
Ticketholders can meet the riders for photos and autographs.
“You can really show up and not know anything about motorcycles, but I guarantee you’ll still be entertained by the production. It’s great for the whole family too; young kids to adults all enjoy themselves,” Garland said.
